These selected changes are present in the release history and link to published product pages. Dates identify the recorded change, in Central Time, rather than the exact deployment time. Page availability does not establish that every service or every individual session is working.

This list was reviewed on 6 September 2026. Local design previews are not shipped updates.

Legacy Pay stagesRetired / cancelled

Stage 1 and its April ledger contract were retired. They are historical credit-ledger work, separate from the current Pay product.

Stage 2 USDC backing was cancelled on 4 August 2026. The legacy vault remains a public on-chain record. Credits were never claims on it; the canonical x402 path did not deposit into it. At cancellation, its documentation claimed a governance limit the code did not enforce, and one signer held the vault roles. The backing claim was withdrawn.

Legacy credits are not backed or redeemable and have no off-ramp. The dependent mobile commerce demos were also removed from the plan. These items are not being reopened here.

February–April 2026 release notes

The earlier log covered the AI censorship report, research pages, integrations, SDK work, alerts, incident records and risk products. Its old totals, versions and model scores are historical.

The full legacy roadmap retains the original entries. A country-ranking score does not establish reliable within-country timing of a shutdown.

What's on the workbench right now.

Items here match recent commit activity. ETAs are deliberately conservative — we'd rather ship early than miss a stated date.

in progressETA · this month
AI domain probe expansion

8 of 16 AI services have measurements; remaining 8 currently have 0 OONI events. Adding direct probes from our 100+ operator network across 26 countries.

AI access is the new front of internet censorship — we want to be the canonical source for "is ChatGPT/Gemini/Claude blocked here?".

cancelledETA · cancelled
voidpay Stage 2 — USDC backing on Base (CANCELLED)

Cancelled 2026-08-04 and being retired. The vault shipped and stays on Base mainnet as a public record, but no credit was ever a claim on it, the canonical x402 path never deposited into it, and its deployed documentation asserted a governance limit the code does not enforce. Credits remain an internal accounting unit: not backed, not redeemable, no off-ramp.

Every control that would make a backing claim true — timelock, multisig, an independent guardian — needs a second party to watch the delay and veto inside it. All three vault roles are single-signer keys held by one person, so the claim was withdrawn rather than patched.

iOS App Store submission for Voidly Probe

Probe app build is signed and notarized; navigating App Store review for the network-measurement entitlements.

Mobile probes massively expand the vantage-point footprint — every install is a new measurement node.

near doneETA · this week
HuggingFace Space org-level publishing

Currently shipped under emperor-mew/. Migrating to voidly-ai/ for cleaner branding and team-level access.

Org-level repo gives us discoverability under the Voidly umbrella and sets up for multi-Space publishing.

voidly-check-action Marketplace listing

GitHub repo + tags are live; the UI publish step (Marketplace listing) is the one remaining piece.

Marketplace listing is what makes the action one-click installable for any GitHub repo.

03 · Roadmap

Planned work, by quarter.

Items here are not promises — they reflect direction and current priority. Specific dates only appear once an item moves to in flight.

Q3 2026
next 3 months
Voidly Mobile (iOS + Android)

Censorship-aware messaging app — surfaces local block status, switches transports automatically, ships with the agent SDK built in.

Sub-1h incident detection latency

Currently 6h ingest cycle. Streaming the OONI / IODA / CensoredPlanet pipelines for near-real-time detection.

Enterprise tier

SLA-backed access, dedicated probe deployments, custom feeds, and direct support — for OEMs, threat intel teams, and large research orgs.

Q4 2026
3–6 months out
ML model v3 with multi-source fusion

Current v2 uses OONI only. v3 will fuse OONI + IODA + CensoredPlanet + probe network signals with cross-source attention.

Probe network expansion

The node registry lists 171 registered nodes across 31 countries (7.0M+ probes lifetime, 21 active in the last 24h) — but 18 are confirmed Voidly-operated and ZERO are confirmed third-party, so these are nodes, not independent operators, and the registry says so itself. Next target: under-represented continents (Africa, South America). Live: /v1/community/nodes.

Academic paper submission

"Voidly: A real-time censorship intelligence layer" — targeting FOCI / ACM IMC. Methodology + benchmark + open dataset.

2027 +
direction, not dates
Native Google A2A v0.4 protocol

Currently A2A v0.3.0 compatible. Track upstream protocol updates and ship native support when v0.4 lands.

OONI co-publication partnership

Joint releases of incident reports and methodology papers with the upstream OONI team.

NetBlocks data exchange

Two-way data sharing — Voidly's ML-flagged incidents into NetBlocks workflows, NetBlocks shutdown events into the Voidly index.

Scale: revenue + team

Voidly is currently pre-revenue and single-founder. Scale plans depend on enterprise + research partnerships landing in Q3/Q4.

04 · Priority signals

How we decide what to ship next.

Signal 01
Investor & press interest

When a story or fund cites Voidly, we look at what they cited and double down. AI Censorship Report shipped in part because of repeated press interest in ChatGPT/Gemini blocking.

Signal 02
User feedback

Research API users get the loudest feedback channel — they actually depend on the data being machine-readable, citable, and historically consistent. Shape drives features.

Signal 03
Technical foundation

Some items have to ship in order — and some get cancelled instead. voidpay Stage 2 (USDC backing) was the prerequisite for mobile commerce demos; it was cancelled on 2026-08-04, so those demos are off the roadmap rather than waiting. We try not to skip steps, and not to leave dead ones standing.

Voidly is currently pre-revenue and operated by a single founder. The roadmap reflects that — we ship narrow and deep, not wide and shallow.

05 · Contribute

Help build the censorship intelligence layer.

Voidly is open source and open data (CC BY 4.0). The biggest unlock in the next 6 months is the probe network — every new node becomes a measurement vantage point.

06 · Stay updated
